The best Halloween goal widget is the one that matches your stream's look, because all eight in this guide count the same core goals: followers, subscribers, tips and cheers. This guide matches eight Halloween goal widgets for Twitch to six stream styles and says what each one does not do.
8 nights to go. From today, Fri Oct 23, 6:00 AM EDT, to Sat Oct 31, 11:59 PM EDT, code HALLOWEEN20 takes 20% off the Halloween collection, and every widget below is in it.
A goal widget is an on-screen meter that fills as you work toward a target. It loads into OBS Studio or Streamlabs Desktop as a browser source, the OBS layer that loads a web page. A goal widget does not display chat.
What to check before you pick
- The look. A kettle, a spell book and a devil heart all show the same number. Pick the one you would be happy to see for a whole month.
- The goals it counts. All eight count followers, subscribers, tips and cheers. The Goth Spell Book and Potion Bottle also count raids.
- The install. All eight are manual installs, about 10 to 15 minutes. Four include a Streamlabs version.
- The platform. Every listing here names Twitch.
Start with the free option
StreamElements describes its alerts and widgets as free, and its overlay data tracks follower, subscriber, tip and cheer goals. Streamlabs lists Goals among its widgets, with free overlays too. If you only need a working meter, take one of those.
The picks below earn their place when you want the goal itself to look like Halloween.
Pick your creature
Find your stream style in the first column, then read that widget's section below.
| Your stream | Pick | Counts | One limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cozy | Kettle Ghost Goal Widget | Followers, subs, tips, cheers | No separate Streamlabs version |
| Gothic | Goth Spell Book Goal Widget | Followers, subs, tips, cheers, raids | Twitch only, set up through StreamElements |
| Cute | Cute Bat Goal Widget | Followers, subs, tips, cheers | No separate Streamlabs version |
| Classic | Halloween Pumpkin Goal Widget | Followers, subs, tips, cheers | Colour, font and size are the only settings |
| Chaotic | Devil and Angel Goal Widget | Followers, subs, tips, cheers | Colour, font and size are the only settings |
| Brewing | Potion Bottle Goal Widget | Followers, subs, tips, cheers, raids | Does not read Kick or YouTube |

The eight picks
Cozy: Kettle Ghost Goal Widget
The Kettle Ghost Goal Widget is an animated liquid fill meter shaped like a ghost in a kettle. It suits a cosy stream that wants a spooky touch without going dark.
- Counts: follower, subscriber, tip or cheer goals. You pick one in the settings.
- You can change: colour, font and font size.
- One limit: it is a StreamElements custom widget with no separate Streamlabs build. Show it in Streamlabs Desktop or OBS as a browser source.
Gothic: Goth Spell Book Goal Widget
The Goth Spell Book Goal Widget is a glowing spell book that fills as the goal does. It is the pick for a goth or witchy channel.
- Counts: follower, subscriber, tip, cheer or raid goals.
- You can change: colour, font and font size.
- One limit: it tracks Twitch, set up through StreamElements. It is a goal widget, so it shows no chat.
If you want gothic but cute, the Cat Goth Goal Widget is a liquid fill goal tracker shaped like a pastel goth cat skull, for a goth channel that wants it cute rather than grim. It counts follower, subscriber, tip or cheer goals, and it has no separate Streamlabs build.
Cute: Cute Bat Goal Widget
The Cute Bat Goal Widget is a small bat, built for a compact Halloween layout where you want one simple character.
- Counts: follower, subscriber, tip or cheer goals.
- You can change: colour, font and font size.
- One limit: the download has no separate Streamlabs build. It is a StreamElements custom widget you show as a browser source.
Classic: Halloween Pumpkin Goal Widget
The Halloween Pumpkin Goal Widget is a cat sitting in a pumpkin, and the pumpkin fills as followers, subscribers, tips and cheers come in.
- Counts: followers, subscribers, tips and cheers. You pick which count in the editor.
- Install: the download includes a Streamlabs-compatible version next to the StreamElements one.
- One limit: colour, font and font size are the only things you can change.
For a classic potion look, the Spooky Cauldron Goal Widget is a bubbling cauldron whose potion level rises with the goal. It also includes a Streamlabs-compatible version and counts the same four goals.
Chaotic: Devil and Angel Goal Widget
The Devil and Angel Goal Widget gives you two animated liquid fill trackers in one download, made for a good versus evil channel.
- Counts: followers, subscribers, tips and cheers.
- Install: it includes a Streamlabs-compatible version.
- One limit: colour, font and font size are the only things you can change.
Brewing: Potion Bottle Goal Widget
The Potion Bottle Goal Widget is a bottle that fills as your community gets you to the goal. It is built for fantasy, witch and VTuber-themed streams.
- Counts: follower, subscriber, tip, cheer and raid goals.
- Install: one ZIP for StreamElements, one for Streamlabs or OBS Studio, and video setup instructions.
- One limit: it tracks Twitch only. It does not read Kick or YouTube activity.
What each one counts
This table shows the goals each widget counts and whether the download includes a Streamlabs version. A "No" still runs in Streamlabs Desktop or OBS as a browser source, through StreamElements.

How to add a goal widget to OBS
- Unzip the download. Open the setup guide inside it.
- In the StreamElements overlay editor, click + and choose Custom Widget in the STATIC/CUSTOM section. Paste in the widget code.
- In the custom fields, set the goal type, then the colour, font and font size. Save.
- Copy the overlay URL. In OBS, click + under Sources and choose Browser.
- Select Create new, name it and click OK. Paste the overlay URL, set Width to 1920 and Height to 1080, then click OK.

What you should see: your goal at its starting level, with your label on it. It fills as the events you switched on come in.
If it does not show: turn off your VPN or ad blocker, then refresh the browser source. If it looks blurry, read OBS browser source black screen or blurry fix.
Which one should you pick?
Pick the free StreamElements goal if a plain meter does the job. Pick the Kettle Ghost for cozy, the Goth Spell Book for gothic, the Cute Bat for small and cute, and the Halloween Pumpkin for classic.
Pick the Devil and Angel if your channel runs on a good versus evil bit. Pick the Potion Bottle if you also want raids to count. Our Halloween overlays and widgets overview covers kits, chat and decoration, and About the Spooky Stream Kit covers the 8-widget set. Do these work on YouTube or Kick?
The listings name Twitch as the platform each widget tracks. The Potion Bottle listing says it does not read Kick or YouTube activity.
