The right goal widget depends on what you count and how you want the goal to move on screen. This guide covers seven goal widgets for OBS, plus a free option, and says what each one counts and where it falls short.
A goal widget is an on-screen meter that fills as you work toward a target, such as subs, follows, tips or cheers. Every widget below loads into OBS Studio or Streamlabs Desktop as a browser source, which is the OBS layer that loads a web page.
What to check before you pick
- What it counts. Follows, subs, tips, cheers and raids are not always all included.
- Where it runs. Read the Works With line on the listing. Some widgets read Twitch only.
- How the goal moves. A flat bar, a liquid fill and a pile of falling objects all show the same number differently.
- How long setup takes. The listings say. It runs from about 2 to 15 minutes.
All seven widgets in this list come with a setup guide. You can read each listing on Stream Widget Shop before you buy. Facts here come from the listings as read on 2026-09-29.
Match the goal to what you want more of
- Follower goal. Use it when you want more people to hit Follow. Set the target near your current pace, so viewers see the meter move.
- Sub goal. Use it when subs are the number you want to grow.
- Tip or donation goal. Use it for one named target, such as a piece of gear. Tips count when they go through StreamElements.
- Cheer or bits goal. Use it on Twitch when viewers cheer with bits.
- Raid goal. Use it to mark incoming raids.
Then set a target you can hit in a few streams. A meter that never moves is easy to ignore.
Start with the free option
StreamElements has its own widget gallery, and it says the gallery is full of free widgets, goal widgets included. The gallery lists goal widgets for cheers, followers, subscribers and tips.
If you only need a working meter, take the free one. The widgets below earn their place when you want a specific look, or you want the goal to move in a way a plain bar does not.
How to add a goal widget to OBS
- Install the widget in StreamElements or Streamlabs. Use the one-click link, the ZIP or the code files, as the listing's guide shows.
- In OBS, add a Browser Source.
- Paste the overlay URL from StreamElements into the URL field.
- Set the Width and Height to fit your layout.
- In the widget's settings, set the goal type and target, then pick your colors and fonts.

What you should see: your goal at its starting level, with your label on it. It fills as the events you switched on come in.
If the goal does not show or does not move:
- Refresh the Browser Source in OBS or Streamlabs Desktop.
- Check the goal type and target you set, and which events you switched on.
- Check that your tips go through StreamElements, because that is where tips count.
The seven picks
Moon Jar Goal Widget
The Moon Jar Goal Widget drops a real object into a glass jar for every follow, sub, tip, cheer, raid or channel-point redemption. The objects fall, bounce and settle into a pile. The pile survives a refresh, a scene switch or a restart.
- Counts: eight event types, each with a weight you set.
- Works on: Twitch, YouTube and Kick, through your StreamElements account.
- Setup: about 2 to 5 minutes with the one-click link, or about 15 minutes by hand.
- One limit: it is a goal widget, so it shows no chat. Tips count when they go through StreamElements.
Celestial Star Goal Widget
The Celestial Star Goal Widget is an animated star that fills as your goal fills. You choose which events count toward it, and you can show the goal text with or without a back.
- Counts: follower, sub, tip and cheer goals.
- Works on: Twitch and Kick, through StreamElements or Streamlabs.
- Setup: about 5 to 15 minutes, with a one-click setup PDF or a manual guide.
- One limit: you can change colors, fonts and font size. It is a goal bar, so it shows no chat.

Neon Glow Chat and Goal Widget
The Neon Glow Chat and Goal Widget is two widgets in one download: a transparent glow chat and a goal that fills beside it. You get a matching look when you also want chat on screen.
- Counts: sub, donation, follow and bits goals, as the listing art shows.
- Works on: Twitch chat, through StreamElements.
- Setup: about 10 to 15 minutes. You create one custom widget for chat and a second for the goal.
- One limit: it reads Twitch chat through StreamElements only. It does not pull YouTube or Kick chat.
Cosmic Galaxy Chat and Goal Widget
The Cosmic Galaxy Chat and Goal Widget pairs a glass-theme chat with a moon goal. The download also includes VTuber accessory ornaments and animated ornament files.
- Counts: sub, donation, follow and bits goals, as the listing art shows.
- Works on: Twitch chat, through StreamElements.
- Setup: about 10 to 15 minutes.
- One limit: like the Neon Glow, it reads Twitch through StreamElements only.
Spooky Stream Kit goal bars
The Spooky Stream Kit is a Halloween set of 8 widgets: 3 chat widgets and 5 goal bars. The goal bars are a jar of falling skulls, a mushroom fill bar, a liquid-filling cauldron, a spell book that turns pages and a skeleton heart.
- Counts: the Spooky Jar tracks subs, and the Love Skeleton tracks subs and donations.
- Works on: Twitch through StreamElements. Streamlabs versions of the Cauldron and Love Skeleton goals are included.
- Setup: about five minutes per widget.
- One limit: the kit is available until 31 October 2026. Once you buy it, it stays yours.

Moon Cloud Donation Goal Widget
The Moon Cloud Donation Goal Widget is a glass crescent moon with a cloud that fills as you reach your goal. Despite the name, it tracks more than donations.
- Counts: follower, subscriber, tip, cheer and raid goals.
- Works on: Twitch, through StreamElements or Streamlabs.
- Setup: about 10 to 15 minutes. You import the ZIP into StreamElements or Streamlabs.
- One limit: a goal widget does not display chat messages, so pair it with a chat widget.
Rabbit Goal Widget
The Rabbit Goal Widget is a rabbit that fills with liquid as your goal fills. It ships as one ZIP and a setup guide.
- Counts: follower, subscriber, tip, cheer and raid goals.
- Works on: Twitch, through StreamElements or Streamlabs.
- Setup: about 10 to 15 minutes.
- One limit: color, font and font size are the settings you can change.
