You can show your current song on stream with the SWS Now Playing widgets, Rave Deck and Cassette. Use the browser extension to read a supported music tab, then add the widget as a browser source in OBS or Streamlabs.
A browser source is the layer that loads a web page into your scene. The widgets display the track; they do not play its audio.

What the two skins show
Both skins show the current track's title, artist and cover art. They update when the song changes, so you do not need to type each track manually.
- Rave Deck: a neon turntable card with a spinning vinyl label, laser sweeps, low fog and a pulse at the BPM you set.
- Cassette: a tape deck with a label, soft grain texture and sparkles.
- Both: three sizes, optional colors pulled from the album art and a platform badge showing where the track plays.

Pick your music source
There are two ways to feed the widget a track. Choose one in the widget's Source settings.
Browser extension: the recommended route
The free extension reads sites that expose standard browser media information. That includes Suno, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Apple Music web and Spotify Free at open.spotify.com.
You do not need a developer account or a music-service login screen inside the widget. Install the extension through early access, then play something in a supported browser tab.
Spotify direct: the optional route
This connects to Spotify's API through your own free Spotify developer app. It gives you the !song chat scan code and exact playback progress.
The account that owns the developer app needs Spotify Premium. Without it, Spotify returns a "Premium required" error. If you use Spotify Free, choose the extension and open.spotify.com instead.

One limit to know: the extension cannot read other native desktop music apps. If you use an Apple Music or YouTube Music desktop client, play the music in a browser tab instead.
Install without StreamElements
Use this path if you want the widget on screen without a chat command or Spotify Code scan card.
- Claim a spot on the Now Playing early access page by entering your email.
- Unzip the download, then follow its read-me to load the SWS Now Playing extension in Chrome, Edge or Brave. Allow about two minutes for this step. Expect a developer mode notice until the store version lands.
- Click the extension icon in your toolbar and play a track on a supported site. The popup shows a pairing code, which links your extension to your widget.
- Click Copy OBS link in the extension popup. The copied link already contains your pairing code.
- Add a Browser Source in OBS or Streamlabs and paste the link. Match its dimensions to your chosen skin and Size setting using the download's setup guide.
What you should see: your chosen skin showing the track you are playing. Demo tracks stay visible until the widget receives a real pairing code.
If it does not connect: reload a music tab that was open before you installed the extension. Check that the pairing codes match and that the widget's Source is set to the extension.
Install through StreamElements
Choose this path for the !song chat command, Spotify Code scan card or Spotify direct. StreamElements loads the widget's code and gives you an overlay URL for your scene.
- Open StreamElements, go to Streaming Tools, then My Overlays. Choose + Add Widget, then Static/Custom, then Custom Widget.
- Open the code editor. Paste the download's StreamElements files into the matching HTML, CSS, JS, Fields and Data tabs, then save.
- Copy the overlay URL and paste it into a Browser Source in OBS or Streamlabs. Use the dimensions for your chosen Size setting.
- Set the Source field to browser extension or Spotify direct. For the extension, paste your pairing code. For Spotify direct, use the Client ID and refresh token from the SWS Spotify connect page.
What you should see: the current track in your scene. The settings panel is the same for either installation, and you can switch sources later without reinstalling.
If it does not show: check that all five files are in their matching tabs and saved. Confirm the browser source URL, dimensions and Source field match your setup.

Settings worth checking
- Size: choose large, medium or small, then match the recommended browser source dimensions.
- Auto album colors: use an accent from the current cover art, or turn it off to set colors yourself.
- Artist, cover art and progress: show or hide the artist, cover art and progress bar independently.
- Platform badge: show where the track plays. The Spotify mark appears only on the Spotify source.
- Rave Deck effects: set BPM, lasers, fog and strobe. The widget cannot hear audio, so match BPM by ear. Track-change strobe is off by default for photosensitivity.
- Cassette effects: use grain and sparkles instead of Rave Deck's laser and fog settings.
- !song: set a cooldown for the chat command. It requires the StreamElements installation.

Troubleshooting
- Nothing detected: reload the music tab after installing or updating the extension. An already-open tab needs a refresh to receive its content script.
- Nothing from Suno: press play on a song in your feed, playlist or song page. Hovering a homepage thumbnail does not count as playback.
- Wrong track or a Premium error: check the pairing code for a stale track. For a Spotify 403 or "Premium required" error, use a Premium developer-app owner or switch to the extension.
Privacy, briefly
The extension reads track title, artist, cover art link, playback position and playing or paused status from supported music sites. It does not read browsing history, unrelated tabs, form fields or passwords.
The relay keeps only your latest track and deletes it within 10 minutes of the last update. Your pairing code is not tied to your name, email or an account.
For Spotify direct, login tokens stay in your own browser and are never sent to Stream Widget Shop. Read the Now Playing privacy page for the full details.
FAQ
