SWS Now Playing: Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026. This policy covers the SWS Now Playing browser extension, the SWS Now Playing stream widgets, and the relay and Spotify connect page that support them. It is published by Stream Widget Shop LLC.

What the extension reads

The extension runs only on supported music websites (such as Suno, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Apple Music on the web and the Spotify web player). On those sites it reads what is currently playing: track title, artist, album or cover art link, playback position, track length, whether it is playing or paused, the site name, and the site's own icon. It does not read your browsing history, other tabs, form fields, passwords, or any page outside those music sites.

Where that data goes

The extension sends the now-playing details above to our relay, tagged with a random pairing code the extension creates. Your widget uses the same code to display the song on your stream. The relay keeps only the latest track for each code and removes it 10 minutes after the last update. We do not store a history of what you play, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising or analytics. The pairing code is not linked to your name, email or any account.

Our relay runs on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes connection details such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. We do not collect or keep them ourselves.

Spotify connect page

If you connect Spotify directly, the connect page runs entirely in your browser. Your Spotify login token goes from Spotify to your browser and into your own widget settings. It is never sent to or stored by Stream Widget Shop.

Last.fm

If you use the Last.fm option, your widget talks to Last.fm directly with your own free API key. We never see your key.

Your choices

Remove the extension at any time to stop all sharing. Unpairing or changing your code stops your widget from receiving updates. Anything already on the relay expires on its own within 10 minutes.

Children

The extension and widgets are made for streamers and are not directed at children under 13.
