The Moon Jar Goal Widget is a goal tracker that fills a glass jar with real objects. Follows, subs, tips, cheers, raids and channel-point redemptions each drop one in, and it runs through your StreamElements account on Twitch, YouTube and Kick.

What it does

Most goal trackers are a flat bar. This one is a jar your viewers can watch fill up, one object at a time.

  • Objects fall for real. Each one falls, bounces and settles on the pile.
  • Eight event types count. You choose which ones drop objects, and how much each is worth.
  • Four artefacts, or your own. Pick moon, star, heart or froggy, or upload a PNG.
  • The fill is saved. The pile stays put through a refresh or a restart.
  • Chat can reset it. One command empties the jar and another shakes it.
  • Light Mode. A lighter setting for older PCs.

What fills the jar

Eight event types can drop objects: follow, subscriber, tip, cheer or bits, raid or host, channel points, Super Chat and membership. Switch each one on or off and set what it is worth. The listing image marks which platforms each event comes from, so check it against your channel.

Pick what falls

You get four hand-drawn artefacts: a moon, a star, a heart and a froggy. Want something of your own? Upload a PNG and the jar drops that image instead. You can also set the object size, fall speed, bounce and tumble.

It remembers

The pile survives a refresh, a scene switch, restarting OBS and rebooting your PC. A renameable chat command empties the jar and another shakes it. Both are limited to you and your mods. You can also set the jar to empty by itself once the goal is reached.

Who it is for

It is built for streamers who want the goal itself to be part of the show, so viewers can watch it fill. If a plain bar is all you need, the Celestial Star Goal Widget below is the simpler fit.

What you need

  • A free StreamElements account
  • OBS Studio, Streamlabs, or any software with browser source support
  • Your Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel connected to StreamElements

How it sets up

  1. Open your one-click install link and log in with StreamElements. You can paste the manual code files instead.
  2. Add the jar as a Browser Source in OBS or Streamlabs. A browser source is the layer that loads a web page into your scene.
  3. Pick which events drop objects into the jar, and how much each is worth.
  4. Set your goal target and colors.

Four Moon Jar setup steps: open the one-click link, add a Browser Source, pick your events, set your goal and colors

What you should see: the jar in your scene, and an object dropping in when an event you switched on happens.

If it does not show:

  • For a black screen, turn off your VPN or ad blocker, then refresh the Browser Source.
  • If it looks blurry, set your OBS canvas to 1920x1080 and give the Browser Source the same size.
  • If an event drops nothing, check that event is switched on in the widget settings.

One thing to know

This is a goal widget, so it does not show chat. Pair it with a chat widget. It also runs through your StreamElements account, and the listing image marks cheers and channel points as Twitch events.

FAQ

Does the jar remember its fill level if I restart OBS?
Yes. The pile survives a refresh, a scene switch, restarting OBS, or rebooting your PC.

What platforms does it work with?
Twitch, YouTube and Kick, all through your StreamElements account, plus OBS Studio and Streamlabs as browser sources.

Can I use my own artwork instead of the moon, star, heart or froggy?
Yes. Upload your own PNG and the jar drops that image instead.

Is there a chat command to reset the jar?
Yes. A renameable command empties the jar and another shakes it, restricted to the broadcaster and moderators.

Pairs well with

  • Multistream Chat Widget: puts Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok chat in one box. It shows chat, not goals, and TikTok chat comes through the free TikFinity app.
  • Celestial Star Goal Widget: an animated goal bar for follower, sub, tip and cheer goals. You can change its colors, fonts and font size.
